What a difference a new idler makes! I should have replaced mine a few years ago, but better late than never. Bike now runs quiet and I gained 1mph.

- Available with an ABEC-7 bearing with either an 8mm or 10mm bore.
- The urethane chainbed is very durable, but can be affected by strong solvents. Dumonde Pro lubes apparently have such solvents in them. All the other lubes we and our customers have tried are okay. We don't recommend using Dumonde Pro series chainlubes with this idler.
- The fasteners are stainless steel M4 x 12 socket head cap screws and M4 nylock nuts.
- Outer Diameter is 2.75in (70mm)
- The Sport Return Idler weighs 62g with an 8mm ABEC-7 bearing.

My old idler started making noise so after replacing the bearing with no effect I purchased a new one, but it makes the same noise.

Work of art really, spins smooth and quiet, and thats with the ABEC 7 bearings ... ceramic would be overkill for out timing chain tensioner.

I've been using Terracycle idlers for about 8 years now. Never had one fail and they have lasted much longer then the OEM idlers they replaced. The chain lasts longer too.
The item was really nice, but it did not work for my needs so I had to return it and order another part specific for my bicycle

Adding the new Sport return idler really benefited in silencing the ride.. Along with the new chain tubes and floating tube holder, all I hear now are the wheels riding over the leaves left behind by our winter.. No more mechanical or chain noises..
