FAQ
1. How does it work?
The vertical part of the T fits down inside the end of the handlebar. A clamp goes down over the end of the handlebar and holds them together.
2. Will it fit in my handlebar?
Almost certainly. Any handlebar that can take bar end shifters can take this mount.
3. What can I put on it?
All sorts of things- phones, computers, GPSs, mirrors, horns... or leave it free and use it as a hand rest or assist grip. It's quite useful. We don't recommend you put things like brakes and shifters on it though, it's made for being a rest and for mounting accessories.
4. Can I use it with my bar end shifters?
No, we have another mount for that, our Bar End Shifter Mounts. They use a special clamp with a tunnel for the bar end shifter cable. You can also use our Cockpit Mounts, they go almost anywhere and work with bar end shifters.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Cut off the end of the handlebar grip so 3/8 inch (10mm) of bare handlebar end is showing. This is fairly easily done if you wrap masking tape around the grip and cut along the line using a sharp knife.
Insert the short end of the T down into the handlebar. It needs to go in about 1.5 inches (38mm). Push the clamp down so it is seated on the top of the handlebar (sight through the hole in the clamp to see where the edge of the handlebar is). Align the T where you want it, and tighten both clamp bolts.
You can mount things inside the horizontal tube by removing the end caps.
ADDITIONAL INFO
- Fits into any handlebar that can take bar end shifters (bars with 3/4 inch inside diameter, most bars are made this way). Double sided clamp grips the outside end of your handlebar and the vertical part of the T.
- Diameter of the horizontal portion is 7/8 inch (22.2mm), the same as a standard handlebar, so all kinds of things can be attached. We do not recommend that you attach controls like shifters and brakes, however.
- Note that if you have Bar End Shifters, the ends of your bars already have something in them. We have a different mount if so, our Bar End Shifter Mounts. They use a special clamp with a tunnel for the bar end shifter cable. You can also use our Cockpit Mounts, they go almost anywhere and work with bar end shifters.
- 4 inches (100mm) wide and 3 inches (75mm) tall. Requires 1.5 inch (38mm) of insertion into the handlebar for a net height above the end of the handlebar of 1.5 inches (38mm). Requires 3/8 inch (10mm) of clear handlebar end to clamp onto. Made from black powder coated aluminum.
- Fits any bike or trike with 7/8 inch outside diameter and 3/4 inch inside diameter handlebars (almost all underseat handlebars are made this way).

The 5” Cockpit Mini T arrived well packaged with clear instructions. Easy to install in a short amount of time. Very well made. A bit pricey, but again quality.
Have used this T on three bikes. Love it because it conserves space on the handles.
I added a second mini-T cockpit when I added CYC Photon pedal assist to a Catrike 700. I mounted the controller/display, switch and throttle on the left side. The mini-T replaced the left shifter. It works great.
Wanted the phone closer to me that over by the derailleur post. Found a decent phone mount for the Cockpit Mini T. Solved that out-of-reach phone issue.
This is the 2nd mini-T purchased. Exactly what I needed to mount twist shifter.
Nice little bit of kit as the brits say. But way overpriced for what it is. 60 bucks not counting shipping. But it makes it so much easier to mount accessories, in this case a display, switch and throttle to a recumbent ebike conversion.
Worked perfectly to hold display and control above the handgrip and throttle. It keeps everything close and tidy.

Not my first one purchased but they are a simple and practical means of adding space to attach lights, cameras, throttle, mirrors, etc. Simple but effective.
Bought 2 of the mini cockpit mounts for my HPV trike. Beautifully made. Easy install and they work great to hold all my accessories and mount my mirror. Compact with just the right amount of space. And T-Cycle is awesome as well. I placed 2 orders within a couple days and a couple weeks after I got the orders they refunded me shipping on one, since they combined them in the same box.
Worked well. Used it to mount my Shimano display and controls for my Steps E8000 and Di2 on my Ice Adventure HD. I did not realize that the vertical piece was only 3/4” instead of 7/8.”, but it makes sense after I thought about it a little more. I wanted to mount the controls on the verticle part on the mount which was designed to mount on a 7/8” tube. I modified a short piece of 7/8” aluminum tube to slip over the 3/4” vertice tube so I could mount my controls.
This little cockpit mount is more useful than would appear at first. I have mounted my ebike panel with the plus minus stitch, a mirror and headlight. As nice as it is I think it's a bit expensive for what it is.
I’m not quite done yet. I’m going to be adding a camera mount next to my phone mount. Also my camera gps will be added. I won’t be using the hole for wires though.
The T-cycle Cockpit Mini T allows me to mount my review mirror and the remote controller for my rear light on top of my Rohloff gear shifter. It makes it handy to operate the switch on the remote controller and still allows room for my hand to operate the Rohloff twist shifter. Also, the rear view mirror is higher and further outside than it was before, allowing a better view of what is happening behind me. All-in-all, a great improvement for my trike!

I. Ordered the battery support for a 2019 rear suspended ice trike and the 5 inch mini T with hole to electrify my wife’s trike. I ran into a problem with stabilizing the motor which is unrelated to the above parts which are still in the bag. Have not put on but have use them in the past. I expect them to work flawlessly.

Recently had a LBS install a new display on my recumbent trike. The installed control pad was hard to operate. The Mini T solved the issue and put the control pad in a natural location.
