Electric drives on bikes and trikes are great for transportation and for enabling anyone to get out and ride, but until now, most people have had to hodgepodge together a way to carry the battery. Batteries are big, dense and valuable, and you don't want to just stick them anywhere. A rear rack sometimes works, but then the wires have to be extended, the weight is up high, and you can't use the rack for anything else. Introducing T-Cycle's Direct Attach Battery Mount, for those situations where a simple mount will do.
1. What does this do?
This mount allows you to attach a battery right next to a tube. It's that simple.
2. Where does it go?
It depends on the bike or trike, but on the main tube, generally on the boom, or just behind and under the seat, or on a chainstay. It very much depends on the bike or trike and the battery you want to mount. We make other Battery Mounts that are much more versatile, this one is the simple one for the cases when that works.
3. What kind of batteries can I put on it?
Most commonly available batteries. The battery shelf is drilled and tapped for the common batteries, like the Lunacycles, Shark, Hailong, Falco, etc. that use standard bottle boss spacing, as well as holes for NeoDrive and GoSwiss.
4. What size do I need?
We machine clamps to exactly match the size of your main frame tube, so the size needs to be exact. When you tell us the make and model of your trike, we can pick the right clamps for you.
5. Can I use a sideways extender?
We don't have sideways extender for this mount. Small amounts of sideways positioning can be done with custom spacers. If you need to clear a chainstay or some other obstruction by positioning the battery further out sideways, you probably need our Fully Configurable Mount. It can go all sorts of places.
6. What about unusual batteries?
This mount is designed to be simple and doesn't support flat batteries like the BionX, Falco, and Shimano rear rack batteries, or the Shimano Steps batteries. Again, our Fully Configurable can do all of those.
The mount consists of a heavy duty clamp that attaches to the frame, and a battery shelf that attaches to the clamp. The frame clamps are sized specifically to your trike. The plate can be attached in 3 different positions on the clamp depending on what is needed for your bike or trike. The clamp can be rotated around the frame and the plate can be flipped end to end. The combination of adjustments is limited compared to our Fully Configurable mount, but if you have the room for a battery along your frame, this mount can hold it there.

I have used many products from this company at my bike shop ( Walker's Bike Shop) I do custom installation kits and sometimes need special brackets for installs. I also have taken pics of bikes and they have helped pick the right mount on some special recumbent bikes.
Used it to mount a shark battery on my recumbent trike. Worked well with many installation possibilities.
As always, Terra Cycle has the solution. i wanted a bottle holder on my new Azub Ti Fly but there were no screw mountings in the aluminum tubing. Tried plastic hose clamp style mounting but leverage of tall heavy bottle tipped the stand out of vertical. I purchased the battery mount and vertical water bottle mount from T-Cyle to work together. Solid as a rock, even with an oversized 32 oz. water bottle. And two holders for the price of one.

I converted my Ez-Sport to a mid-drive and tried to add the battery to a rack on the back behind the seat. Try as I might, I was unable to get a rack that was strong enough to hold the battery without falling apart after a ride (covering some rough roads). I saw this great little item and I was able to install it in about 15 minutes. It is ROCK SOLID and holds the battery out of the way and no noise or wobble. Terra Cycle worked with me to determine the correct fit for my bike and it works like a charm. Well worth the investment!!
I've used various battery mounts and support brackets for the battery on two bikes. All of them depended on the water bottle screw holes in the bike frame. Over time and weather, I felt the stress on these holes was not a good thing. I also felt I never really had a super strong mount for the battery. I decided to try the T-cycle approach which is based on their tried and true, rigid, tight fitting clamp for many products. After installing my 19.2A 52 volt battery, I am pleased that there is NO wiggle. It feels like it is welded to the bike frame. I will take this experience to place a battery mount on my recumbent trike.
Mount holds battery solidly in place. My tube is oval shaped rather than circular (wider than it is tall) so I had to modify the screws to make it fit but works fine and is secure. My only gripe is there is no directly center drilled battery mounting holes, rather a line slightly to one side or other so the battery sits slightly right or left of center, though only by an 1/8 inch or so.

Exactly what I needed to fit the battery where I needed it on my tandem recumbent trike. Make sure you order for the correct tube size where you want to fit it and the mounting is very secure. You can position the mounting plate to fit the battery dead centre or slightly offset and there are plenty of tapped holes for bolting on the battery baseplate, not just the two bottle mounts normally used. The clamp and the baseplate appear very well made.
Very nice. Extra holes provide almost limitless ability to fit parts where ever you need. Able to mount large battery to boom of trike with ease. Replaces reliance of the ICE trike Qnt water bottle lugs which proved to be fragile.

As has been all of my experiences with T-Cycle, this purchase was flawless. The products are machined perfectly, designed smartly, and perform better than antucipated. Their quality is well worth the price. Super fast delivery, too!
Used it to mount a shark pack in the triangle of a framed twenty6er bmx bike, haven't completed the build yet but it seems like it's going to work well.
The battery mount is very well machined. Installation was easy and quick. The heavy battery is very secure. I have one suggestion: Maybe the screws should come with lock-tight already on them?
The clamp is very good very strong nice job. Wasn't really for my battery 36v 100ah lithium blue square battery but it fit well only wish it had like to more holes were I can run more zip ties only was able to run two but it held well just wrapping more zip ties through the frame. Other flaw was just the bolts were to long put shorter bolts

Fit to my front crossbar perfectly, used two to mount a whale-shark battery just under my knees for a Tongshen front drive. Awesome results!
This is absolutely the most perfect mount for an ebike battery. terra cycles customer service was very responsive in helping select the right clamp size. Install was super easy, owing to very precise and attentive machining of the component. With all the extra mounting holes this could also easily have a second life for something else, but it will live where it is for quite a while before that.
This mount works just fine but necessitates the battery to be mounted up high on one bike and sideways on another. They work but are not the fully functional while ascetically pleasing pieces that I usually get from you. I will definitely come back but these pieces were only good enough for what I needed.
Worked perfectly for mounting the battery on the main frame of my tadpole trike for my Bafang BBSO2 motor.
cool item for unusual spots
Bought this to mount battery on the boom of my trike because you was out of the fully configurable mounts that put it under the seat, but found out i didnt need it because the boom clamp has 2 small screw holes on top which worked just fine.. So its still in the bag. Thats why i only gave it 4 stars.. Dont see why it wouldnt work though..
